Liesl Hickey
Co-Founder
Liesl Hickey is a veteran political strategist who has worked at the highest levels of politics and issue advocacy. She has directed large-scale campaign operations and high-profile public affairs efforts. She has spent her political career crafting messages and strategies for Republicans on how to win in suburban areas, with a focus on women voters.
From 2013-2014, she was the Executive Director of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), where she oversaw a historic 13-seat pickup. This Republican majority—the largest since 1928–included a large number of members representing traditionally Democratic constituencies.
Hickey was previously Chief of Staff to then-Rep. Mark Kirk (IL), where she helped author the “Suburban Agenda,” a first-time effort by national Republicans to craft a set of policies targeted at independent, suburban voters—a program that was instrumental to surviving the 2006 Democratic wave election.
Hickey also was a Senior Director for Campaigns at Bono’s ONE Campaign where she oversaw a $40M national, presidential advocacy effort to fight global poverty and disease.
She was a fellow at the University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics and a contributor to the Wall Street Journal’s “Think Tank.” She also is a co-host of the podcast, House Talk with Ali and Liesl.
Hickey is a graduate of Southern Methodist University. She lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband and three children.
Marie Sanderson
Co-Founder
Marie Sanderson began her public service career on Capitol Hill for United States Senator Thad Cochran in 2003, where she served as Legislative Assistant and Deputy Press Secretary on the staff of the Appropriations Chairman. Following her tenure on Capitol Hill, Marie began working for Governor Haley Barbour where she served as the Policy Director to the Governor. From 2010-2015, Marie served as Policy Director for the Republican Governors Association (RGA) and the Republican Governors Public Policy Committee (RGPPC), working with Governors, Chiefs of Staff, and their policy teams to facilitate and advocate for best practices and good policy in both state and federal policy to governors, candidates, think tanks, Congress, the Administration and other political organizations. Marie has served in a number of roles including advising the U.S. House and Energy and Commerce Committee’s Medicaid Task Force and the FCC’s Intergovernmental Advisory Committee. In 2017, in addition to her professional roles, Marie was “Sherpa” for USUN Ambassador Nikki Haley, an unpaid position with the US Presidential Transition, preparing and guiding the current Ambassador for her nomination to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
Marie currently is a Founding Partner at GuidePost LLC, Partner at 50 State LLC, Principal at Cardinal Group Policy, and Senior Advisor at IMGE. Marie Sanderson serves on several boards and commissions including the statewide Mississippi Arts Commission Board of Directors and the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Mississippi Board of Directors. In 2020, she and her husband, Brian, founded the MS 30 Day Fund, a nonprofit dedicated to providing financial support to Mississippi’s small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in the form of forgivable loans. Brian and Marie have two sons and one daughter.

Jessica Anderson
Vice President, Heritage Action for America
Jessica brings over 10 years of political experience to the N2 America Team. Jessica Anderson is currently the Vice President of Heritage Action for America, where she is responsible for the strategic operation and day-to-day activities of the government relations, policy, digital marketing, and grassroots teams.
Prior to her return to Heritage Action, Anderson served as Associate Director, Intergovernmental Affairs and Strategic Initiatives for the Office of Management and Budget in the Trump Administration. Anderson landed on the 2017, 30 Under 30 Forbes List for Law and Policy and is a recipient of other top 30 Under 30 awards from Newsmax and Red Alert.
Jessica Anderson has been published in The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Real Clear Policy, The Hill, and The American Spectator. She graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida and is a graduate of the Koch Associate Program.
Henry Barbour
Managing Partner, Capitol Resources LLC
Henry Barbour serves as managing partner of Capitol Resources LLC, one of the leading lobbying, government relations and issue advocacy firms in the South. The firm has offices in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Henry is a leading Republican strategist and operative and serves as National Committeeman for Mississippi on the Republican National Committee. In 2013, Henry co-authored the RNC’s Growth and Opportunity Report, which developed a plan to grow the Party and improve Republican campaigns. He also serves on the RNC Executive Committee and Rules Committee. In addition, he has been active with the Republican Governors Association since 2003, was elected Chairman of The Data Trust in 2017, the GOP warehouse for Republican and conservative voter-related data and elected Chairman of WinRed in 2019, an online fundraising platform supported by a united front of the Trump campaign, RNC, NRSC and NRCC.
He has served as a close political advisor over the years to former RNC Chairman Reince Priebus and former governors Rick Perry and Haley Barbour. He’s run gubernatorial, congressional and super PAC campaigns; plus, worked or volunteered on several presidential campaigns, starting with the 1988 Bush campaign. National political reporters often seek his views, and he has been quoted many times in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Politico and appeared on Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, CSPAN, PBS, NPR, etc.
Following Hurricane Katrina, Henry served as the Executive Director of the Governor’s Commission on Recovery, Rebuilding and Renewal. Henry also teaches about politics and campaigns as an adjunct professor at Ole Miss.
Henry and his wife Georgie live in Yazoo City and have three daughters. Henry is a sparring partner for many local high school tennis players and enjoys taking photos at local school events.
Robert Blizzard

Rob Collins
Partner, S-3 Public Affairs
Rob Collins is a veteran strategist and partner at S-3 Public Affairs. In the Spring of 2017, the Trump Administration asked Collins to ‘quarterback’ the successful bipartisan nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the United States Supreme Court. In that role, Collins worked directly with West Wing senior staff, the Office of the Vice President, the White House Counsel, the Department of Justice, the White House Office of Legislative Policy, Legislative Affairs, the Inter-governmental Office, the White House Public Liaison Office, and the White House Communications Office. Additionally, Collins worked closely with Senate Leadership, Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office, the Senate Judiciary Committee, over 20 outside advocacy groups, and Judge Gorsuch’s team.
Prior to S-3, Collins was the Executive Director of the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), a $125 million, 80-person organization responsible for electing Republicans to the U.S. Senate. During his tenure at the NRSC he helped reelect 12 incumbents and elect 12 new Republicans. These pickups were a part of a historic 9-seat gain for the Republicans, the largest GOP-gain in over 35 years.
Before taking over at the NRSC, Collins was a partner at Purple Strategies, a bipartisan consulting firm. He also ran the American Action Network (AAN), which raised over $30 million for advocacy in 5 Senate races and 35 House districts that helped the Republicans retake the House of Representatives in 2010. While at AAN, he created the Hispanic Leadership Network co-chaired by Governor Jeb Bush and Secretary Carlos Gutierrez. Before starting the Network, Collins spent 7 years as Chief of Staff for Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA). Mike Duhaime

Along with being among the most accomplished political operatives in the country, Mike is now one of the country’s most sought-after strategist in the corporate and non-profit public affairs space.
Mike has worked at the highest levels of American politics, working on presidential campaigns, for every major Republican political committee, and on gubernatorial, US Senate, US House and state legislative campaigns in over 40 states.
Mike served as a senior advisor to the Republican Governors Association where he helped oversee the committee’s efforts on behalf of Gov. Rick Scott (FL), Gov. Terry Branstad (IA), Gov. Charlie Baker (MA), Gov. Nikki Haley (SC), Gov. Larry Hogan (MD), and several others.
In both 2009 and 2013, Mike was the lead strategist for Governor Christie’s gubernatorial election. His first victory marked the first GOP statewide win in New Jersey since 1997 and the largest win for a GOP challenger since 1942. In 2010 and again in 2012, Mike spearheaded the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s independent expenditure efforts, contributing to the victories of Senators Pat Toomey (PA), Jeff Flake (AZ), Dean Heller (NV), and others. In 2011, Mike served as the Chairman of the Republican Delegation for New Jersey’s bipartisan Congressional Redistricting Commission. Mike led the Republicans to a significant win resulting in the Redistricting Commission adopting the Republicans’ congressional map by a 7-6 vote.
Previously, Mike served as Political Director of the Republican National Committee, consulted for the National Republican Congressional Committee and worked in senior positions for President George W. Bush, Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Senator John McCain. Mike was a four-year skater on the Rutgers Ice Hockey team where he served as a captain for championship teams his junior and senior seasons. He is currently a youth ice hockey, baseball, basketball and flag football coach.

Sara Fagen
CEO, Deeproot Analytics
Sara Fagen serves as the CEO of Deep Root Analytics, a leading marketing technology company that partners with advertising and communications professionals to more effectively reach target audiences across all media platforms. Fagen co-founded Deep Root Analytics in 2013 and is a long-term board member.
Most recently, Fagen served as a partner at DDC Public Affairs in Washington D.C., where she helped clients solve some of their toughest public affairs and political challenges. Sara became a Partner at DDC in 2011 after the company acquired BlueFront Strategies, an issue advocacy firm she founded. In 2014, Fagen helped lead the sale of DDC to Omnicom Group Inc.
Sara is also a founder of Resonate Insights, a disruptive real-time consumer intelligence platform that brings together real-time survey data and insights on over 230 million consumers and online behavioral data all in one platform.
Before branching out as an entrepreneur, Fagen had a successful career in campaign politics and government. She served as White House Political Director for President George W. Bush. During her years in the White House, Fagen was involved in helping enact some of President Bush’s most significant legislative accomplishments. Fagen also played a key role in the President’s 2004 re-election campaign, in which she served as a senior strategist directing opinion research and paid media. After the campaign, the Wall Street Journal called her a “data whiz,” saying, “As a top strategist for the 2004 Bush-Cheney re-election efforts, Fagen helped perfect political micro-targeting.”
Fagen has been a long-time contributor to CNBC. When she is not working, Fagen lives in Arlington, VA with her husband Joel, son Isaac and rescue dog Scruffy.
Keith Gilkes
Chairman and CEO, Platform Communications
Keith Gilkes, Chairman and CEO of Platform Communications, is a valued voice in the world of political strategy, issue advocacy, and brand identity communications. During his nearly twenty-year career, Gilkes has been recognized by the American Association of Political Consultants (2013) and Politico in its list of ‘50 Politicos to Watch.’
In the early 2000’s, Gilkes spent several years in leadership positions in the Wisconsin State Legislature, including serving as Chief of Staff for the Senate Majority Leader. Through his state service, Gilkes gained a thorough understanding of personnel, organizational management, and policy implementation.
After the 2010 election, Gilkes led the transition effort to build Governor-Elect Scott Walker’s administration and then served as Governor Scott Walker’s first Chief of Staff. In this capacity, Gilkes managed the daily operations of the governor’s office and state agencies, legislative agenda and relationships, and developed policy within Governor Walker’s office.
As Walker’s Chief of Staff, Gilkes oversaw the operational aspects of all cabinet agencies in Wisconsin and was apprised of agency rules, procurement contracts, and additional state government actions. Gilkes has gained invaluable knowledge pivotal to understanding state regulations, administrative rules, and additional processes utilized by state agencies.
Gilkes was instrumental in formulating and executing Governor Walker’s budget that allocated nearly $64 billion to put taxpayers first and invest in Wisconsin’s priorities during the 2011-13 biennium. Throughout the budget process, Gilkes worked with existing Republican leadership to pass Walker’s successful budget reforms that eliminated a $3.6 billion budget deficit and reformed government operations. In 2011, Gilkes was instrumental in legislation that provided tort reform, helped eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse from government programs, changed the administrative rules process and removed bureaucratic red tape. These reforms made Wisconsin more attractive for businesses.
In 2011, Gilkes oversaw operations in the governor’s office during 2011’s Act 10 protests. Gilkes streamlined requests, answered quick deadlines, and disseminated honest and accurate information to hundreds of media outlets nationwide on a daily basis. Despite a challenging political climate during the Act 10 debate, Gilkes earned respect from colleagues on both sides of the aisle for his calm demeanor and direct approach.
Gilkes left the governor’s office to focus on ensuring Walker’s victory in the historic recall attempt. Thanks to his leadership, for the first time in the nation’s history, a sitting governor beat back a recall attempt. He continues to serve as a political advisor to Governor Scott Walker.

Paige Hahn

Paige currently serves as President of Hahn Group Inc, a fundraising firm she founded in 2007. Paige specializes in political – both federal and state – and non-profit fundraising. Paige has expertise in Virginia fundraising having served as chief fundraiser for former Governor Bob McDonnell and current state senator, Mark Obenshain. Over her twenty year fundraising career, she has worked for numerous high profile political figures and national Republican committees, focusing on both individual and corporate major donors as well as the management of on-line and direct marketing campaigns.
Chris Jankowski
Managing Principal, Loxodrome Consulting
Chris Jankowski is a national political consultant with significant experience in state and federal elections, independent expenditures, and issue advocacy campaigns.
In 2010, Chris served as the Executive Director of the REDMAP Project at the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC). Chris directed over $20 million in expenditures in a strategic effort to win Republican control of state legislatures immediately prior to the decennial redrawing of Congressional district lines. Under Chris’s leadership, REDMAP resulted in the Republican pick-up of twenty legislative chambers and a net gain in over 700 state legislative seats- setting a record for any political party in U.S. history. REDMAP is widely credited with providing a strategic advantage in the 2012 Congressional elections and subsequent cycles. Following REDMAP, Chris served as the President of the RSLC from 2011 to 2014.
In 2016 to 2018, Chris served as a lead consultant to the Judicial Crisis Network’s successful Supreme Court confirmation campaigns. These efforts blocked the nomination of Merrick Garland and pushed for confirmation of Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court. These unprecedented efforts, with almost $30 million spent, helped create a new conservative majority on the Court.
In 1996, Chris earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina and a B.A. in Political Science at the College of Charleston in 1993.
David Johnson
Founder, DJ Group
David Johnson is a Florida-based Republican general strategic consultant to candidate campaigns, initiatives and as a strategic advisor to corporations and associations. He founded his company, the David Johnson Group (DJGroup) in 2003 after leading the Republican Party of Florida as Executive Director during the 2002 campaign cycle, having worked for the Party during the Republican ascendency to majority during the 1990’s.
DJGroup campaign and corporate clients are and have been varied in strategic needs and have spanned the nation from the Pacific Northwest to Key West. They have included Florida Governor Jeb Bush, Miami Congressman Carlos Curbelo, South Dakota Senator John Thune and Washington Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler, as well as presidential, senatorial, gubernatorial and congressional contests across the country, including federal, legislative and initiative campaigns in Florida. DJGroup was a chief advisor to former Senate President Andy Gardiner in his tenure as leader of the Florida Republican caucus as well as many other members of the Florida Legislature, and DJGroup has led independent groups supporting federal candidates in Florida and other states.
David Johnson resides in Tallahassee with his wife Christina. He is a member of the American Association of Political Consultants, and has been named one of “Florida’s Top Five Republican Political Influencers” by Campaigns and Elections magazine, and as a member of the “100 Most Influential People in Florida Politics” by Influence Magazine (2016, 2018).
Jamie McWright
President, Associated Republicans of Texas
Jamie has been serving as the president of the Associated Republicans of Texas since April 2014. Prior to that, Jamie spent 11 years on the Washington, DC, staff of Senator John Cornyn. Throughout her time with the Senator she served as a Legislative Assistant, Administrative Director, Special Assistant at the National Republican Senatorial Committee and Whip Liaison. Before moving to Washington, Jamie worked for the Texas A&M University System in Harris County as a County Extension Agent. Jamie has a Bachelors of Science from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Houston.
Sara Mueller
Political Director for Governor Ducey
Sara Mueller is an Arizona native who most recently served as deputy campaign manager for Governor Doug Ducey’s successful re-election campaign.
She has worked as manager or deputy manager on multiple winning campaigns in her home state and was a senior advisor to Governor Ducey during his first term. She acted as interim director for the digital team at the DCI Group in 2017 and previously led the online advertising team at DC London, Inc.
She is a magna cum laude graduate of Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia where she double majored in politics and English.
Josh Penry
Principal, 76 Group
Since joining 76 Group, Penry has become the go-to guy for businesses, trade groups, conservative and good government organizations locked in tough political or public relations fights. Penry has been identified by a host of national publications as prime mover in Colorado politics.
A native of Grand Junction, Penry served in the Colorado General Assembly for six years – first in the State House and then in the Colorado Senate, where Penry was elected Minority Leader of the Senate. Penry was one of the youngest ever elected to the State Senate and was among the youngest to ever serve as an elected party leader in the legislature’s upper chamber. As party leader, Penry brokered several large bipartisan deals with his top political rival, then-Democratic Governor Bill Ritter, including major reforms of the state’s public pension system, reform of statewide education standards, strengthened penalties for sexual predators, and a broad re-engineering of state policy, prioritizing natural gas-powered electricity, to comply with Clean Air requirements in a way that protected consumer energy bills.
Prior to his time in the legislature, Penry was the Chief of Staff for a subcommittee of the House Natural Resources Committee in Congress. As a Principal at EIS, Penry has run some of the most successful Congressional and ballot initiative races in the country. As chief strategist for Congressman Mike Coffman’s landslide victories in 2014 and 2016, both efforts were hailed as among the best campaigns in the country by Roll Call and National Journal. In 2016, Penry was also the architect and chief strategist of the successful Raise the Bar (Amendment 71) campaign, helping pass a historic and bipartisan constitutional reform ballot initiative in Colorado. Penry has a long history with this effort. As a legislator, he was at the forefront of multiple efforts to make it more difficult to amend the state’s constitution.
In energy, Penry casts a large shadow. Penry has drawn the ire of Greenpeace, WildEarth Guardians and other extreme environmentalist groups trying to ban fracking – a tribute to Penry’s leadership on helping defeat various anti-fracking measures in an array of key battlegrounds. Anti-fracking groups have dubbed Penry and his wife Kristin Strohm, a top political fundraiser, the “first couple of fracking.”
In partisan politics, Penry has been a leading voice calling for the Republican Party to modernize on important issues like immigration reform and gay rights.
Penry is the father of four – Chase (14), Emme (10), and one-year-old twin girls Sophie and Caroline. Penry, Strohm and the kids live in the south Denver suburbs.
A college quarterback at Mesa State College, in 1998 Penry was named the national scholar athlete of the year by the American football coaches association – an award won the prior year by Peyton Manning.
Terry Sullivan
Partner, Firehouse Strategies
Terry Sullivan would prefer to be well-known for his mountaineering expeditions or captaining his boat long-distances offshore, but his two decades spent as a leader in politics and public affairs have distracted from his efforts to attain notoriety in those more interesting fields.
Sullivan has played a senior strategic role in over 100 campaigns, including better than two dozen US Senate, Gubernatorial and Presidential campaigns. He has advised Republican candidates at every level, having been in some of the toughest political battles and emerging victorious. Over his career he has worked for some of the biggest names in politics, including Jesse Helms, Jim DeMint, Mitt Romney, Trey Gowdy and Marco Rubio, for whom he served as Campaign Manager on his presidential campaign.Sullivan is a founding partner of the public affairs firm Firehouse Strategies, where he advises Fortune 500 companies and trade associations on how best to deliver their message in a targeted and effective fashion. He has built and run multiple award-winning communications and media firms over the years, including TV, digital and print.Sullivan has a bachelor’s degree from UNC-Wilmington, and has served as an adjunct professor at George Washington Graduate School of Political Management and as a featured speaker at numerous universities including Harvard and NYU. He serves on the board of ClearPath, a conservative clean energy advocacy group. He has appeared as an expert on numerous major and cable networks, as well as in major news publications ranging from The New York Times to National Review.
Sullivan currently lives in Washington, DC where he hones his crisis management skills serving in his most impressive job: That of full-time single dad, raising his teenage daughter McKenna.
Courtney Weaver
Vice President of Political Accounts, IMGE
Courtney Weaver manages the strategy for a diverse portfolio of political and advocacy clients at IMGE, a full-service digital marketing company. She has been with IMGE for nearly five years and is an experienced digital professional who supports a variety of full-service client accounts from investment banking to congressional races, overseeing national online fundraising operations as well as million-dollar advertising budgets. Courtney has a background in political communications, specializing in digital, which includes organic and paid media, as well as email marketing.
She is a native of Upstate New York and a graduate of Sacred Heart University in Connecticut. Courtney was previously a Communications Director on the Hill focusing on earned media and building a strong digital presence. Courtney also has several years of experience working on local, statewide, and congressional campaigns in New York, Connecticut, and Texas.
